Taking the Pretty Things We Wear and Love to the Streets - It all started with an aerial image of Coco Chanel's flat in Paris. The satellite view over 31 Rue Cambon showed geometric shapes, buildings and streets. I thought about how much prettier it would be to 'paint' those streets with beautiful colors. And, so it began.
My client loves gold and mentioned a pop of yellow for her commissioned piece. I had a cadmium yellow custom blend I have used before and immediately thought of this Ellie Saab dress with its color and gold sparkle.
Ellie Saab’s Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2012 line was a rounded out completion of the piece. It is crazy how Chanel, Louis Vuitton and Ellie Saab lines were so similar for spring/summer. All so feminine! We pulled in a little gray and beige, pinks and peach.
